WJ Delivers Exceptional Innovation Event in Scotland

 
 
WJ again demonstrated exceptional delivery when hosting their first Innovation day in Scotland, held at the historic location of the University of Stirling and within the Airthrey Castle Campus all under the gaze of the Wallace Monument.

The regional event was attended by around 100 delegates from across Scotland and supported by the Institute of Highway Engineers (IHE) with a programme of CPD endorsed technical presentations followed by practical demonstrations providing a real understanding of WJs ambition to find better ways to do things.

WJ explained their forward thinking ethos for workforce safety with automated processes aimed at removing vulnerable operatives off the carriageway and a key feature of the day was the demonstration of Automatic Road Stud Installation process.

George Lee Chief Executive of the Road Safety Markings Association extolled the virtues of road markings as a low cost engineering solution to provide high levels of road safety.

Guest speaker Scott Lees Head of Network Maintenance Transport Scotland provided the clients view and explained the role, diversity and the challenges for the road network in Scotland. He commended WJ because solutions are to be found in collaboration and innovation and he encouraged the industry to bring new ideas to him. He said "In Scotland were looking for quality, safety and a responsible service. WJ are on the right track, theyve got commitment to innovation, safety and deliver a quality product to the client. Its commendable and shows leadership in an industry that needs it.
