WJ Acquire Euromark GB

Continuing strong growth within the UK road markings sector WJ have acquired the trade and assets of Euromark GB Limited, the road marking division of Eurovia UK Limited.

Effective from 1st September 2015 the Euromark GB operation has been fully integrated into the existing WJ businesses providing long term stability and security for over 450 employees within the enlarged group. WJ and Euromark share common values of Safety, Delivery, Innovation & Collaboration and this move will create a stronger, better resourced and more effective road marking operation across the UK.

Eurovia UK is one of the leading service providers of highway maintenance to the UK local authority market. Scott Wardrop, Chief Executive Officer of Eurovia UK commented “This was a strategic decision for us to ensure even greater flexibility and programme delivery of road markings for our clients. We have been collaborating with WJ for some time and feel confident that the new arrangement will provide us with an effective and reliable service locally and nationally”.

Euromark GB services long term contracts for road markings to a national client base from the South of England to Scotland with a very capable management team, innovative services and well trained road marking operatives. In addition the acquisition provides WJ with a further thermoplastic production facility based in Bradford which will strengthen the materials supply capability of its growing operation.

The WJ business is about people and the increase in locally based skilled resources will enable greater flexibility to deliver WJ’s vision for exceptional service to existing and new clients within the increasing but fluctuating seasonal demands of our industry.
